My client is looking for a dedicated nurse to work within their hospice, based near Hampstead. My client is one of the country's leading provider of palliative care. They pride themselves on providing expert support and guidance to those with a terminal illness, and their families. The successful candidate will be dedicated to delivering care to the very highest standard.
The Hospice itself provides in-patient care, and a day care service. They also provides support to families of the patients, within the hospice, this is considered a service in itself. The facilities in the hospice are state of the art and modern, and there is a friendly atmosphere around the clock.
Although my client is looking for nurses with experience in the field of palliative care, my client also offers preceptorships to newly qualified, and nurses new to end of life care. My client believes the training they provide is second to none, and you will be provided with all the tools necessary to become an outstanding Nurse in this field.
You will be putting together treatment plans and overseeing a team of care assistants. The successful Staff Nurse will have excellent clinical leadership skills. The role will offer 35 hours per week, and will nurses to be fully flexible.
My client offers ongoing training, and has excellent development opportunities for the right candidate.
Staff Nurse Skills and Responsibilities
- Monitoring blood sugar levels and IV
- Wound management
- Administering oxygen
- Putting together treatment plans
- Overseeing a team of care assistants
- Liaising with GP and multi-disciplinary team
- Up to 31 days annual leave

Staff Nurse Requirements
- Hold a relevant nursing qualification
- Be registered with the NMC
- Have satisfactory references
- Have the right to work in the UK
