Job Setting
A well established client of mine is requiring a dedicated RGN staff Nurse to work within their beautiful nursing home in Farnham. The home provides excellent 1st class nursing services to elderly residents with dementia and those that require end of life care. You will have excellent clinical skills and a naturally caring approach.

The main duties of the desired candidate will be to participate in ensuring residents are involved in all aspects of their care. Also participate in ensuring that partners, friends and relatives are involved in care in accordance with the residents wishes. Treat each resident with dignity, respect and understanding in accordance with the Dignity Challenge. It will be key to maintain records according to mandatory legal requirements, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with NMC Guidelines' Standards for Records and Record Keeping and CQC compliance criteria. In discussion with the Senior Nurse, give clinical advice as necessary including health education and health promotion. Also to be aware of unit procedures and policies and ensure same are carried out safely in accordance with agreed policies. Finally to communicate effectively, liaising with other members of the multi-disciplinary team

Staff Nurse Skills and responsibilities
  • Monitoring blood sugar levels and IV
  • Wound management
  • Provide 1st class nursing care to residents within the home
  • Administering oxygen
  • Liaising with the Senior Management on development
  • Putting together treatment plans
  • Overseeing a team of care assistants
  • Liaising with GP and multi-disciplinary team

Staff Nurse Requirements
  • Hold a relevant nursing qualification
  • Be registered with the NMC
  • Be passionate about working within a Elderly and Dementia setting
  • Have satisfactory references
  • Have the right to work in the UK
