This specialist service supports adults of all ages, abilities and disabilities. The purpose is to promote service user well-being and to work with each individual ensuring their best interests are respected while assisting adults that require long term nursing needs as well as those moving back into independent living after a period of rehabilitation. This service is provided to service users who can and will benefit from sessions with their on-site Occupational & Physiotherapists.
They offer residential living for people with dementia or related condition in our small, homely and highly attractive 11 person villa. In addition this service provides step down services for those wishing to return to community living and they have two respite (holiday break) rooms as well as two dedicated end of life suites.
The aim is to promote the independence, inclusion and well-being of people with support needs. this is done by working with individuals, their families and partner agencies to deliver innovative, high-quality services that meet the individual's needs and aspirations, this is delivered in a person-centred way. The service also works closely with Walkergate Park hospital.
Skills and responsibilities
- Supervising Staff
- On-Boarding Inductees
- Providing ongoing staff training to nursing and care team
- Overseeing budget
- Monitoring patient care across the unit
Staff Nurse role details:
