General Manager required in Liverpool, Merseyside, up to £50,000 per annum, 40 hours per annum

Job Setting
Our client is seeking an experienced full time General Manager for a 50+ bedded dementia nursing home in Liverpool, Merseyside.

This role would ideally suit a manager with at least 3+ years' experience as a General Manager, we are seeking a candidate who is looking to be innovative in achieving a CQC Outstanding rating and increasing the staffing levels and occupancy of the home.

The successful candidate would have a full understanding of legislation requirements of running a nursing home with complex needs as well as CQC compliance.

It is imperative to be a motivational team leader and have an ability to build excellent relationship with clients, families, and referrers alike.

You would be responsible for the operational day-to-day management of the home ensuring continued compliance with relevant legislation.

You would work in partnership with colleagues in the senior management team to ensure the provision of high-quality service delivery enabling individual needs and organisational priorities to be met in accordance with available resources.

We are currently rated 'Good' by the CQC.

Essential Requirements
  • 1st Level Nurse (Nursing Care Home/Village) or NVQ level 5 in leadership and management (Residential Care Home/Village)
  • Registered Managers Award or equivalent (achieved/ working towards)
  • Broad experience of managing people, service and quality to achieve performance targets.
  • Must demonstrate a caring/ service ethos; ideally come from a Health and Social Care Sector background.
  • Comprehensive understanding of commercial principles and practices.
  • Good understanding of P&L structure and budget management.
  • Excellent ability to build lasting relationships
  • Ability to act sensitively and confidentially.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Demonstrates a high level of personal integrity towards providing a high standard of service
  • Excellent record in achieving results through people
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Proficient computer skills in word processing, database and spreadsheet applications.
  • Full Driving Licence.
