An Exciting Opportunity for a PICU Ward Manager has arisen, we are looking for a Ward Manager whose leadership skills can have a positive impact on the care and recovery progress of our patients.

PICU often admits patients who are extremely unwell and improvement in their mental well-being can be very satisfying for staff.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and skilled Band 7/Band 8 Ward Manager to join our PICU Team collaborating with our unique adult 3-3-3 inpatient system.

You will also oversee our purpose-built seclusion suite.

Main duties of the job:
The ideal candidate will have a commitment to strong leadership a sense of accountability, plus the ability to work under pressure.

The post holder will provide strong leadership to the team, ensuring that patient welfare and safety is at the core of their practice.

The Ward Manager will be responsible for production of rosters, staff training, staff management processes, planning and implementing service improvements.

Candidates must have a good knowledge of local, national policies and legislation which govern current service provision.

The post holder will be responsible for the management of PICU staff and the ward environment (including seclusion suite).

The Ward Manager will ensure that issues of equality, diversity and rights are dealt with in accordance with good practice and legislation.

You will ensure that effective communication pathways exist between internal and external stake holders.
