Job Setting
This low/medium secure hospital requires a dedicated RMN or RNLD to work within their Mental Health service. The post offers successful candidates a unique opportunity to develop their skills across specialities and enhance their overall career pathway under one roof. My client provides nursing services to adults with complex mental health conditions including personality disorders, eating disorders and self-harm. The Hospital offers many services including intensive care, secure units and rehabilitation and pride themselves on the level of care provided and ensuring the residents feel safe.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Assist the hospital through clinical practice development and quality improvement
  • Maintain and strive for the highest standard of care provision
  • Have a lead responsibility in undertaking regular audits of care through monitoring and analysis of documentation, assessment and observation of the lived experience of patients
  • Work with the Clinical Service Manager to deliver targeted intervention where themes, trends and lessons learnt indicate a need for skills development
  • Work within services focusing on the development of nursing practice, through clinical leadership, coaching and mentoring
  • Be responsible for a planned programme of support across your area of focus as determined by the annual plan for Quality and Compliance
  • Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
  • Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals
  • Administer prescribed medicines with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines

Clinical Practice Leader Requirements
  • Hold a relevant nursing qualification
  • Be registered with the NMC
  • Have satisfactory references
  • Have the right to work in the UK
