Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Paediatric Phlebotomist to join our team at a private clinic in London. As a Paediatric Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality phlebotomy services to pediatric patients, with a focus on holistic medicine and blood tests.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct blood tests on pediatric patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Embrace a holistic approach to healthcare, considering the overall well-being of the child in addition to specific blood testing requirements.
  • Interact with pediatric patients and their caregivers in a compassionate and reassuring manner, ensuring a positive experience during the blood collection process.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines governing phlebotomy services for pediatric patients.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all phlebotomy procedures, ensuring proper recording of patient information and test results.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance and cleanliness of phlebotomy equipment, following infection control practices.

Requirements:

  • Possess a valid phlebotomy certification with specific training or experience in pediatric phlebotomy.
  • Previous experience in pediatric phlebotomy is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with children and their caregivers.
  • Demonstrate a compassionate and patient-centric approach to pediatric care.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of pediatric patients and a holistic care environment.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to relevant regulations and guidelines governing phlebotomy services.

This is a part-time position with 15 hours per week, offering a competitive salary of £25 per hour.
