Job Setting
Joining a highly experienced team, the selected candidate will assist with anaesthesia in various Ophthalmic cases within a fantastic Ophthalmic Surgical Centre.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective anaesthesia for patients undergoing ophthalmic surgery, including pre-operative assessment, selection of appropriate anaesthetic techniques, and monitoring during and after surgery.
- Collaborate closely with the ophthalmic surgeon and the surgical team to ensure the smooth operation of procedures, involving patient preparation, anaesthetic administration, and management of any complications.
- Offer education and support to patients and their families regarding the anaesthetic process, explaining available options and addressing inquiries.
- Maintain a high standard of patient care and safety by adhering to relevant policies and procedures and staying updated on the latest developments in ophthalmic anaesthesia.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of ophthalmic anaesthetic services, participating in research, teaching, and other professional activities.
Requirements
- Possess a relevant nursing qualification.
- Registered with the NMC.
- Hold an Anaesthetics Certificate.
- Provide satisfactory references.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
