Role Overview:
As a Band 5 Theatre Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care within the theatre department. This role involves working closely with surgical teams to ensure the smooth running of procedures and the safety of patients throughout. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgical teams during procedures, providing necessary instruments and equipment
- Ensure the sterile field is maintained throughout surgical interventions
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration as required
- Participate in pre-operative preparations and post-operative care activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient outcomes
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification as a Theatre Practitioner
- Registered with the appropriate regulatory body
- Previous experience working in a theatre setting, preferably within an independent hospital
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Commitment to upholding professional standards and delivering patient-centered care
