About the Role:
Join our dynamic team at a leading Private Hospital in Bath! They offer a wide range of services, including Inpatient, Daycase, and Outpatient care for both private and NHS patients. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you'll play a crucial role in their pharmacy department, contributing to all aspects of Medicines Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert pharmacy services and support medicines management.
- Oversee dispensary operations, including clinical screening and management.
- Ensure accuracy, legality, and safety of prescribed medications through daily assessments.
- Deputize for the Lead Pharmacist, representing the pharmacy in various forums.
- Develop and review clinical policies, guidelines, and SOPs.
- Actively participate in risk management and incident reporting related to medicines.
- Optimize medicine availability and effectiveness in collaboration with clinicians and suppliers.
- Manage medicines inventory, ensuring alignment with prescribing needs and introducing new drugs.
- Ensure compliance with national standards, policies, and legislation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the hospital.
Requirements:
- Pharmacy degree (BPharm or MPharm) from a recognized university.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
- Strong report writing, presentation, and patient-facing communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior staff.
- Experience with clinical audit projects and risk management.
