Renovated in 2019, this cutting-edge ward specializes in Orthopaedic, Medicine, and General Surgery. With 17 inpatient beds, the ward provides a dynamic atmosphere with a high patient turnover and outstanding levels of patient satisfaction.

This role is perfect for an established Deputy Ward Manager or a Senior Nurse ready to progress in their medical career.

Deputy Ward Manager Skills and Responsibilities:
• Efficiently manage people and financial resources for the team's optimal functioning.
• Guarantee an effective skill-mix and oversee appropriate caseload management, with regular reporting to the Ward Manager.
• Allocate tasks and objectively assess team members' performance, offering clear feedback.
• Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, maintaining open communication channels.
• Assume responsibility for maintaining high standards of nursing care within the work area.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships that uphold dignity, rights, and responsibilities.

Deputy Ward Manager Requirements:
• Registered Nurse
• Current NMC registration in adult or general nursing
• First-degree level education or equivalent
• Significant post-qualification/registration nursing experience
• Recent clinical experience at the Senior Staff Nurse level
• Demonstrable ability in transformational leadership
• Expert clinical skills in the relevant specialty
• Ability to prioritize the patient and family at the center of care
• Facilitate and support learning within the team
