Lead Theatre Practitioner role paying up to £53,000 a year at a Private Hospital in Windsor

An opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Lead Theatre Practitioner to join a prestigious Private Hospital in Windsor

Responsibilities:
  • Leading the coordination and management of the theatre team to ensure the smooth running of surgical procedures.
  • Overseeing the preparation of the operating theatre, equipment, and instruments, maintaining cleanliness and adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Providing support and guidance to theatre staff, fostering a collaborative and cohesive team environment.
  • Assisting surgeons and anaesthetists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring patient safety at all times.
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels of surgical supplies and equipment, liaising with relevant departments for procurement as necessary.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of theatre operations.

Requirements:
Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner qualification.
Significant experience working within a theatre setting, with a strong background in various surgical specialties.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping abreast of industry best practices.
