This Private Hospital is Hertfordshire's newest private hospital, equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure the safety of patients and employees in our operating theatres.
Their private hospital features the latest theatres, luxury en-suite bedrooms, specialist rehabilitation Physiotherapy, and outpatient diagnostic facilities, including fast-track access to X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
MRI Radiographer Responsibilities:
• Report to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager.
• Manage the day-to-day operation of MRI lists.
• Work autonomously to complete various imaging procedures.
• Provide clinical leadership to junior radiographers.
• Share expertise with junior colleagues and support their development.
• Collaborate effectively with senior colleagues.
• Demonstrate experience in the field of MRI and the UK health system.
• Positive attitude toward teamwork, strong organizational and communication skills.
MRI Radiographer Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide MRI and general radiology services, ensuring compliance with IRMER regulations.
• Assume professional responsibility for patient care in the Imaging and Theatre department.
• Deliver individualized patient care with sensitivity to privacy and dignity.
• Maintain agreed standards of patient care and confidentiality.
• Promote clinical excellence.
• Lead the implementation of departmental action plans following clinical audit and review.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and independently.
• Demonstrable knowledge and skills in clinical practice.
• Experience in an imaging department with the opportunity to consolidate skills.
MRI Radiographer Knowledge:
• Minimum 18 months post-qualification clinical experience in the NHS/Private hospital setting.
• Competence in MRI scanning.
• Enhanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology for emergency and elective plain film imaging support.
• Advanced knowledge of MRI safety guidelines.
• Decision-making skills.
• Responsibility in a clinical area (e.g., equipment, QA, training, protocols, rota, students, H&S, quality, staff resources, pediatrics).
• Recent history of working in the UK health sector.
MRI Radiographer Qualifications:
• BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
• HCPC Registration.
• CPD evidence.
• Attendance at relevant study days/short courses.
• Experience in an imaging department within the private sector.
• Membership in the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR).
Desirable:
• IV cannulation.
• Membership in relevant special/clinical interest groups.
• Possession of or working toward a relevant postgraduate qualification.
Skills:
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and web-based reporting systems (PACS/RIS).
• Strong written, numerical, and verbal communication skills.
