MRI Radiographer - Full Time - Up to £45,000 (Depending on Experience) - Hatfield - Private Hospital

MRI Radiographer Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, the MRI Radiographer will oversee the day-to-day operations of MRI lists, performing various imaging procedures autonomously. This role involves providing clinical leadership to junior radiographers, sharing expertise, and fostering a positive teamwork environment.

MRI Radiographer Duties & Responsibilities:
Deliver MRI and general radiology services, ensuring compliance with IRMER regulations.
• Take professional responsibility for patient care in the Imaging and Theatre department.
• Provide individualized patient care with a focus on privacy and dignity.
• Uphold agreed standards of patient care and confidentiality.
• Champion clinical excellence and lead the implementation of departmental action plans following clinical audit and review.
• Work effectively in multidisciplinary and independent environments.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills in clinical practice, with experience in imaging department settings.

MRI Radiographer Knowledge:
• Minimum 18 months post-qualification clinical experience in the NHS/Private hospital setting.
• Competence in MRI scanning.
• Enhanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology for emergency and elective plain film imaging support.
• Advanced understanding of MRI safety guidelines.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Experience in clinical areas like equipment, QA, training, protocols, rota, students, H&S, quality, and staff resources, with exposure to pediatrics.
• Recent work history in the UK health sector.

MRI Radiographer Qualifications:
• BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
• HCPC Registration.
• CPD evidence.
• Attendance at relevant study days/short courses.
• Experience in an imaging department within the private sector.
• Membership in the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR).

MRI Radiographer Desirable Skills:
IV cannulation skills.
• Membership in relevant special/clinical interest groups.
• Possession of or working toward a relevant postgraduate qualification.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and web-based reporting systems (PACS/RIS).
• Strong written, numerical, and verbal communication skills.
