Responsibilities:
  • The Senior Theatre Practitioner will assume a leadership role in the operating theatre, overseeing and coordinating the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • They will be responsible for scrubbing and circulating for a variety of surgical procedures, demonstrating proficiency in all aspects of perioperative care.
  • Collaboration with the surgical team, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient theatre operations.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior theatre staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Contribution to the development and implementation of best practices in perioperative care, adhering to the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintenance of accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Participation in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in surgical techniques and technologies.

Requirements:
  • The successful candidate must be a Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • They should have significant experience as a Theatre Practitioner, with a focus on surgical scrub and circulating duties.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and manage the theatre team effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centric approach.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care.
