Are you an experienced Theatre Practitioner with a focus on Recovery, seeking a rewarding opportunity to contribute to patient care within our Theatres team? Join us in our commitment to providing exceptional pre, peri, and post-operative care for surgical patients in our hospital.

Role Overview: As a Theatre Practitioner specializing in Recovery, your primary responsibility will be to deliver a high standard of professional practice and clinical care. Collaborating with the theatre team, you will actively contribute to fostering a positive working environment and maintaining a supportive learning atmosphere within the operating department.

Theatre Practitioner - Recovery Requirements
• RGN/ODP
• Six months post registration
• Basic theatre recovery skills
• Up to date clinical knowledge
• Current programmes of care
• Clinical governance frameworks

Team Role:
• Effectively communicate with patients and colleagues.
• Facilitate a question and answer dialogue with patients and relatives.
• Be able to demonstrate listening skills and the use of non-verbal cues.
• Evaluate written information and documentation

Theatre Practitioner - Recovery Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical:
• Independently implement basic nursing care.
• Implement new/complex care with supervision.
• Practice in your clinical area of expertise at an agreed competency level.

Managerial:
• Utilise resources appropriately to ensure agreed standard of patient care
• Be able to delegate suitable clinical care to junior staff
• Develop preceptorship skills and actively support peers.
