Full-time and permanent position
Salary: Up to £44,000 + Benefits (depending on level of experience, training, and qualification)

Role Overview:

Senior Theatre Practitioner Duties:
Deliver safe quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care
Support, coordinate, and actively assist in the management and organization of care within the operating department
Provide quality planned care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care by ensuring all team members deliver quality patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership
Lead in the delivery of patient care during a list or specified period of time
Ensure that patient safety checks are carried out in accordance with the policy and that all practitioners adhere to the policy
Contribute to quality improvement
Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self
Promote best evidence-based practice within own scope of practice
Apply legislation, policies, and procedures correctly
Achieve agreed objectives and demonstrate Private Hospital Group behaviors at all times

Senior Theatre Practitioner position in the Theatre department
Applicant Criteria:
  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
  • Post-registration qualification relevant to functional specialty (e.g., Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification for scrub leads)
  • ENB 998 and/or mentorship course
  • Approved/recognized anaesthetic course
  • ILS certification
  • Orthopaedic skill
  • Mentorship qualification
  • ILM3
  • Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment
  • Previous experience managing and leading a clinical team
