Are you an experienced leader in children's residential care, ready to take on an exciting new challenge?
We are opening a brand-new supported living service in Leeds for young people aged 16–18, and we are looking for a Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead this important initiative from the ground up.
About the Role: As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the successful launch and ongoing leadership of a 4-bed supported living home. Your role will ensure the provision of a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment that supports young people as they transition into independent adulthood.
You will be working closely with the company director and our compliance team to shape the service in line with OFSTED and Children’s Home Regulations, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and operational excellence from day one.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children’s home.
- Ensure the service meets all OFSTED regulations and achieves high inspection ratings.
- Provide strong leadership, support, and supervision to care staff.
- Develop and maintain individual care plans and risk assessments tailored to each young person's needs.
- Promote independence, resilience, and life skills among residents.
- Ensure robust safeguarding policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to.
- Liaise with external agencies, families, and stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for young people.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff.
- Manage budgets and ensure financial efficiency of the service.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a children's home setting.
- In-depth understanding of OFSTED regulations and children's home legislation.
- Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Demonstrable leadership and team management skills.
- A clear, enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
- Passionate about supporting young people and driving positive change.
