Senior Radiographer – General X-ray - Wimbledon - Up to £47,500 - Independent Private Hospital 

We are seeking a skilled Senior Radiographer with expertise in Mammography and General X-ray to provide exceptional imaging services. As a vital member of a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure the safe, efficient delivery of diagnostic imaging, maintaining the highest patient care standards while adhering to national guidelines and protocols.
 
Job Summary
  • Deliver high-quality, cost-effective imaging services for patients and consultant users.
  • Ensure patient safety, staff management, and continuous service improvement.
  • Comply with all relevant policies and procedures of the Independent Private Hospital and maintain standards aligned with The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
 
Department Overview
  • Operate as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering imaging services to outpatient and inpatient users.
  • Modalities include:
    • X-Ray
    • Fluoroscopy
    • Ultrasound
    • Mammography
    • CT
    • MRI
    • Mobile X-ray (Wards and Theatre)
    • PACS
 
Senior Radiographer Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain professional development and HCPC registration.
  • Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures.
  • Work flexible hours and participate in the on-call rota.
  • Perform high-quality examinations based on consultant referrals and protocols.
  • Train and operate in all imaging modalities as required.
  • Promote the Independent Private Hospital and its Imaging Department.
  • Monitor and uphold service standards.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels across departments.
  • Engage in departmental quality assurance and implement changes as needed.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Imaging Manager.

Senior Radiographer – Mammography - Requirements:
  • BSc in Radiography or equivalent qualification with HCPC Registration.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Mammography (Desirable)
  • A minimum of 3 years’ post-graduate experience with expertise in Mammography and General X-ray.
  • Experience in Fluoroscopy (essential); CT and MRI experience (desirable).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
