About Us

For more than 40 years we’ve remained proudly independent while continually reinvesting in our people and our practice. Following a recent full renovation, you’ll work with modern diagnostics, dedicated surgical theatres and separate dog, cat and exotic wards—all designed to let you deliver the nursing care you trained for.

Why You’ll Love Working Here
  • True work-life balance – a rotating 4-day week and no overnight or bank-holiday cover.
  • Clinical freedom – as an independent practice you’ll have a direct say in protocols, suppliers and new ideas.
  • Supportive culture – join our supportive and friendly team of experts, dedicated to animal welfare.
  • Fresh facilities – digital x-ray, multiparameter monitoring, dental suite, in-house lab and ultrasound!
  • Competitive package – up to £33k, employer pension contributions, 28 days’ holiday (inc. Bank Hols) and funded CPD.
What You’ll Be Doing

As an all-round RVN you’ll rotate through theatre, wards, consults and reception, so no two weeks look the same. Key responsibilities include:
  • Anaesthesia & theatre nursing – calculate drug doses, set up TIVA/CRI, monitor patients and maintain sterile fields.
  • In-patient care – tailor recovery plans, perform nursing rounds, place IV catheters, run bloods and keep detailed clinical notes.
  • Nurse consults & clinics – vaccinations, weight management, senior pet check-ups, post-op re-checks and puppy socials.
  • Laboratory & diagnostics – run biochemistry/haematology, prepare cytology, assist with radiography and perform ECGs.
  • Client communication – explain treatment plans clearly, provide discharge advice and deliver compassionate follow-up calls.
  • Practice development – contribute ideas for protocols, mentoring student nurses and helping us shape a greener, smarter practice.
What We’re Looking For
  • RCVS-registered RVN (or eligible) with at least 1 year in first-opinion small-animal practice.
  • Confident in anaesthesia, inpatient triage and running nurse clinics.
  • A proactive team-player who enjoys mentoring and is keen to keep learning.
  • Able to work a 4-day week plus one Saturday morning in four.
