Registered Children's Home Manager – 3-Bed EBD Home An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a brand-new 3-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Liverpool.

This will be the fourth home within an established children's residential care provider that already holds a Good Ofsted rating across its services. With approximately 40 employees across the organisation, you'll be joining a supportive provider with ambitious growth plans and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality care.

The home will support up to three children aged 8–17 years in a mixed-gender setting, providing a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where young people can thrive.

The Role As the Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for the successful opening and day-to-day management of the home. You'll lead and develop your team, ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, and create a culture focused on achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

This opportunity would also suit an experienced Deputy Manager who is ready to step into their first Registered Manager position, provided they have substantial leadership experience within residential childcare and are confident in leading a home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register with Ofsted and lead the day-to-day management of the home.
  • Ensure the home consistently meets the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing staff team.
  • Promote a therapeutic, child-centred approach to care.
  • Ensure safeguarding remains at the heart of the service.
  • Manage recruitment, staff development, supervisions, and performance.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with local authorities, families, education providers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor quality assurance, compliance, and service improvement.
  • Manage budgets, occupancy, staffing, and overall performance of the home.
  • Work towards achieving and maintaining positive Ofsted inspection outcomes.
About You We're looking for an ambitious and passionate residential childcare professional who is ready to make a real impact.
Essential Requirements
  • Previous experience within a children's residential home.
  • Current Registered Manager, or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards and close to completion).
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Passion for achieving the very best outcomes for children and young people.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
