Location: Canterbury, Kent
Salary: Up to £41,000 per annum (£21.50 per hour day rate)
Hours: 36 hours per week (24 clinical, 12 supernumerary)

We are recruiting a Clinical Lead (RGN) to join an established nursing home in the Canterbury area. This is a combined clinical and leadership role, providing hands-on nursing care alongside supernumerary responsibilities covering governance, audits, and staff development. On-call is required on alternate weeks, with overtime available.
The Role
Provide clinical leadership and oversight across the service
Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care during clinical shifts
Lead, support, and supervise nursing and care staff
Support the Registered Manager with clinical governance and audits
Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and best practice
Maintain accurate records using a digital care system
Cover sickness and absence where required
Requirements
Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC PIN — essential (RMN not suitable)
Minimum 5 years post-registration nursing experience
Previous experience managing or supervising staff
Strong understanding of CQC standards and compliance
Confident using digital care systems and IT platforms
Flexible, reliable, and able to work under pressure

Combined clinical and supernumerary leadership role
Alternate week on-call
Overtime available including night cover
Commutable Areas
Canterbury, Whitstable, Faversham, Herne Bay, Ashford, Margate, Folkestone and surrounding areas.
