An exciting opportunity has become available to lead the opening of a brand-new 3/4-bed Children's Residential Home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing provider with an experienced and supportive Responsible Individual already in place, giving you the guidance and backing needed to successfully establish and lead a high-quality service.

The Role As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the registration, opening, and day-to-day management of the home.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the registration and successful opening of a brand-new children's home.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the service.
- Ensure full compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted requirements.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing staff team.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children and young people.
- Ensure robust safeguarding practices are embedded throughout the home.
- Maintain high standards of care planning, risk management, and record keeping.
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals.
- Prepare the home for Ofsted registration and future inspections.
- Drive continuous improvement with the aim of achieving a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating.
- Participate in the on-call rota as required.
Essential Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or currently working towards completion.
- Previous experience within an Ofsted-regulated children's residential home.
- Strong understanding of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Excellent safeguarding knowledge.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experienced Registered Managers looking for their next opportunity.
