• £36,000 per annum (40-hour contract)
• £42,000 per annum (48-hour contract)

Deputy Manager – Residential Children's Home An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a well-established provider supporting children and young people in a 4-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Doncaster.

Working closely with the Registered Manager, you'll help lead a dedicated team, ensuring children receive the highest standard of therapeutic, child-centred care in a safe and nurturing environment.

This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker ready to take the next step into management or an existing Deputy Manager looking for a new challenge.
Key Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
• Lead shifts and ensure the smooth operation of the service.
• Supervise, mentor, and support the residential care team.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, care, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with care planning, risk assessments, reviews, and placement planning.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all documentation.
• Promote positive outcomes through therapeutic and child-centred care practices.
• Support children with emotional wellbeing, education, independence, and daily living skills.
• Work collaboratively with social workers, families, education providers, and healthcare professionals.
• Participate in the staff rota, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins where required.
• Act as the home's lead in the absence of the Registered Manager.

About You We're looking for a passionate and motivated childcare professional who is committed to improving the lives of children and young people.
Essential Requirements

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Minimum of two years' experience working within a residential children's home.
• Previous experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader, or in a supervisory role.
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to remain calm, resilient, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
• Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 12 months.
