Deputy Manager – Residential Children's Home An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a well-established provider supporting children and young people in a 4-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Doncaster.
Working closely with the Registered Manager, you'll help lead a dedicated team, ensuring children receive the highest standard of therapeutic, child-centred care in a safe and nurturing environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker ready to take the next step into management or an existing Deputy Manager looking for a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
- Lead shifts and ensure the smooth operation of the service.
- Supervise, mentor, and support the residential care team.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, care, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with care planning, risk assessments, reviews, and placement planning.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all documentation.
- Promote positive outcomes through therapeutic and child-centred care practices.
- Support children with emotional wellbeing, education, independence, and daily living skills.
- Work collaboratively with social workers, families, education providers, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in the staff rota, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins where required.
- Act as the home's lead in the absence of the Registered Manager.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Minimum of two years' experience working within a residential children's home.
- Previous experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader, or in a supervisory role.
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to remain calm, resilient, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
- Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 12 months.
- £36,000 per annum for a 40-hour contract.
- £42,000 per annum for a 48-hour contract.
- £73 sleep-in payment per shift.
