Are you an experienced Registered Manager looking for the opportunity to build and grow a domiciliary care service from the ground up?
We are recruiting on behalf of an established and growing domiciliary care provider that is launching a new dual-service branch covering Barnsley and Doncaster. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious care professional to take ownership of a new service, build a high-performing team and make a genuine difference to the people receiving care in their own homes.
This is more than a traditional Registered Manager position. As the founding Registered Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape the service, establish its culture, recruit your team and drive its growth from day one.

Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the domiciliary care branch
- Ensure the service consistently delivers safe, high-quality and person-centred care
- Lead, motivate and develop the care team
- Recruit, onboard and retain high-quality care staff
- Conduct inductions, supervisions, appraisals and performance reviews
- Manage performance and address any issues appropriately
- Create and maintain a positive, supportive and inclusive team culture
- Ensure care plans are accurate, regularly reviewed and reflective of individual needs
- Maintain high standards of CQC and regulatory compliance
- Ensure staff training, competency and mandatory requirements remain up to date
- Manage rotas and staffing levels to ensure care calls are delivered effectively
- Build positive relationships with clients, families and external professionals
- Monitor quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Support the growth and development of the branch
- Maintain accurate records and ensure appropriate governance processes are followed
- Work closely with senior leadership to achieve operational, quality and growth targets
We are looking for an experienced and motivated care professional who can combine strong leadership and operational management with a genuine passion for high-quality care.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience managing a domiciliary care service, branch or care operation
- Experience working in a Registered Manager or similar senior management role
- Strong knowledge of CQC requirements and regulatory compliance
- Proven people management and leadership skills
- Experience recruiting, developing and managing care teams
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, organised and commercially aware approach
- A genuine commitment to person-centred care
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Flexibility to work every other weekend and participate in on-call/back-up support when required
