Salary: £16.15 per hour
Sleep-in Rate: £65 per sleep
Hours: 160 hours per month
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Service: 2-bed EBD Children's Home

The Opportunity We are recruiting an experienced Senior Support Worker to join a 2-bed children's residential home in Salisbury, supporting young people aged 8–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated residential childcare professional who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will help provide a safe, stable and nurturing environment, supporting young people to develop their confidence, independence and life skills.

The Role As a Senior Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the children's home.
• Providing high-quality, child-centred care to young people with EBD.
• Acting as a positive role model and building strong, trusting relationships.
• Supporting young people with emotional regulation, challenging behaviour and everyday activities.
• Helping to implement care plans, risk assessments and individual support plans.
• Supporting and guiding junior members of the staff team.
• Promoting safeguarding and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all young people.
• Maintaining accurate records and completing relevant paperwork.
• Working closely with colleagues and external professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

About You To be considered for this position, you must have:

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce.
• Previous experience working within a children's residential setting.
• Experience supporting children and young people with EBD or complex needs.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to remain calm and positive when dealing with challenging situations.
• A genuine passion for supporting children and helping them achieve their potential.
