An established children's care provider is seeking an ambitious and compassionate Registered Manager to take overall responsibility for a 3-bed children's residential home in Bedford.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager or an established Deputy Manager ready to progress into a Registered Manager role.

The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the management and day-to-day running of the home, ensuring children receive safe, consistent and high-quality care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, supporting and developing the residential care team.
- Ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding and practice.
- Promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Managing care plans, risk assessments, incidents and safeguarding.
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Maintaining accurate records and effective quality assurance.
- Working closely with social workers, local authorities, families and other professionals.
- Managing staff supervision, training and performance.
- Ensuring the home provides a safe, nurturing and child-centred environment.
You will need to have:
- A minimum of 2 years' residential childcare experience gained within the last 5 years.
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- An NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or be working towards.
- A sound understanding of Ofsted requirements and current legislation.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A professional, dependable and accountable approach.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Relevant safeguarding and mandatory training.
- Previous management or senior experience within children's residential care.
- Ability to meet the relevant requirements to become a Registered Manager.
- Full UK driving licence desirable.
- Up to £65,000 DOE
- Established 3-bed home.
- Monday to Friday, including 1 dedicated work-from-home administration day each week.
