About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead the opening of a brand-new 2-bed Children's Residential Home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.

This is a rare chance to join the organisation at the beginning of a new journey, taking ownership of the registration process, shaping the home's culture, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

Experienced Deputy Manager's looking to step into their first Registered Manager position are welcome to apply, provided they have at least two years' management experience and have deputised for a Registered Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Ofsted registration process.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational systems.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing staff team.
  • Create a positive culture focused on achieving outstanding outcomes for children.
  • Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Prepare the home for Ofsted inspection and drive continuous improvement.
  • Safeguard children and promote their welfare at all times.
  • Manage budgets, staffing, and day-to-day operations.
About You

To be successful, you will have:
  • Experience working within Children's Residential Services, supporting young people with EBD.
  • A minimum of two years' management experience within a children's residential setting.
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or be actively working towards it.
  • A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding care and improving outcomes for young people.
Experience of opening a new children's home or leading an Ofsted registration would be highly advantageous.

Experience
  • Senior Management experience i.e. Deputy Childcare Manager: 2 years 
Licence/Certification
  • Full UK Driving Licence
