Children's Home Deputy Manager – Norfolk My client is seeking an experienced Children's Home Deputy Manager to join a brand-new children's home in Norfolk.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the launch of a new service, working alongside the Registered Manager to create a safe, stable and nurturing home for a young person with care needs.
The successful candidate will be an experienced childcare professional with strong leadership skills, a child-centred approach and a passion for achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
The Role As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in establishing and developing the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered from day one.
You will provide day-to-day leadership to the staff team, model outstanding childcare practice and help maintain a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment where children feel safe, valued and supported.

- Supporting the Registered Manager with the daily operation of the home.
- Leading, motivating and supervising Senior Support Workers and Support Workers.
- Promoting a positive, nurturing and child-focused culture.
- Ensuring high-quality care is delivered in line with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation.
- Supporting children and young people in their physical, emotional, psychological and social development.
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health & safety and regulatory compliance.
- Building positive relationships with children, families and external professionals.
- Contributing to care planning, staff development and continuous service improvement.
About You To be considered, you should have:
- A minimum Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Previous experience working within a children's residential setting.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- The ability to inspire, motivate and develop a team.
- A resilient, compassionate and child-focused approach.
- A thorough understanding of safeguarding, children's legislation and Ofsted standards.
- Full UK Drivers Licence
