Deputy Children's Home Manager ā Solo Therapeutic Home An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Children's Home Manager to join an established provider of therapeutic residential childcare in Croydon.
Supporting a solo placement home, you'll work alongside the Registered Manager to provide exceptional care for a young person with emotional and behavioural needs in a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker ready to progress into management or an established Deputy Manager looking for a new challenge within a supportive and growing organisation.
The Role As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance are consistently achieved.
You'll support the Registered Manager in leading the staff team, maintaining a therapeutic culture, and ensuring the young person receives the highest quality of care and support.
With a Monday to Friday, 9:00amā5:00pm working pattern, this role offers an excellent work-life balance while still providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
- Lead and motivate the staff team, promoting a positive and child-centred culture.
- Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
- Promote trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to care.
- Support the development and review of care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies.
- Monitor safeguarding practices and ensure children remain safe at all times.
- Carry out staff supervisions, mentoring, and performance support.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance processes.
- Work collaboratively with social workers, education providers, healthcare professionals, and families.
- Assist with preparing the home for Ofsted inspections and driving continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
- Experience within a children's residential home.
- Previous experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader, or Deputy Manager.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or currently working towards.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and the Children's Homes Regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
- Salary of up to £45,000, depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday, 9:00amā5:00pm working pattern.
