We are looking for a passionate and motivated Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in leading our Ofsted-rated Good children's residential home in Wisbech. The Role As Deputy Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high-quality, child-centred care that meets the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements. You will lead, mentor and inspire the staff team while promoting a culture of safeguarding, professionalism and continuous improvement.

You will lead, mentor and inspire the staff team while promoting a culture of safeguarding, professionalism and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day operation of the home.
- Lead, supervise and develop the staff team to deliver outstanding care.
- Ensure care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans are regularly reviewed and implemented.
- Promote positive outcomes through trauma-informed and therapeutic practice.
- Safeguard children and ensure all concerns are managed in line with statutory guidance.
- Participate in multi-agency meetings, reviews and care planning.
- Support recruitment, induction, supervision and staff development.
- Assist with rota planning, compliance, audits and Ofsted readiness.
- Provide management cover in the Registered Manager's absence.
- Participate in the on-call rota where required.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Experience in a senior or supervisory role within a children's residential home.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and the Children's Homes Quality Standards.
- Experience developing care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Full-time flexibility, including evenings, weekends and participation in the on-call rota.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
- Experience supporting children with EBD, trauma and complex needs.
- Experience preparing for Ofsted inspections.
- First Aid qualification.
- Salary of up to £40,000 per annum.
