Key Responsibilities
- Register with Ofsted as the Home Manager and lead the successful opening of the home.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Recruit, lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing staff team.
- Promote a therapeutic, person-centred approach to supporting children with learning disabilities.
- Ensure safeguarding remains at the heart of all practice.
- Develop and review care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies.
- Build positive relationships with local authorities, families, education providers, and healthcare professionals.
- Monitor quality assurance, audits, and service performance, driving continuous improvement.
- Work towards achieving positive Ofsted inspection outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working within residential childcare.
- Eligible to register with Ofsted.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Minimum of three years' experience working in residential childcare within the last five years.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, Children's Homes Regulations, and Ofsted requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Competitive salary from Ā£50,000.
