Outpatient Nurse Role - Based in Central Reading - Up to £41,300 per annum - One of Readings Best High-end Outpatient Clinic - Full Time 

We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Nurse to join a respected private clinic in Reading. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a varied role within a supportive, close-knit team, offering excellent exposure across multiple specialties and strong career progression opportunities.

About the Role
As an Outpatient Nurse, you will play a key part in delivering safe and effective care across a busy outpatient department. The clinic provides services across a wide range of specialties, including Urology and ENT, giving you the chance to broaden your clinical skills and knowledge while working in a patient-focused environment.
You will support junior colleagues, contribute to the smooth running of outpatient clinics, and ensure high-quality standards of patient care are consistently maintained. This role is ideal for a nurse looking to step up into a senior position in an independent setting that values professional development and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting consultants during outpatient clinics across a range of specialities, including Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Coloproctology
  • Carrying out nurse-led Urology and ENT procedures like bladder instillations, wound care, skin prick testing and patient education as well as assisting consultants with minor procedures.
  • Ensuring accurate record keeping and adherence to CQC and clinic policies
  • Providing a calm, empathetic presence for patients, many of whom may feel anxious or unwell
  • Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to deliver a seamless patient experience
Candidate Requirements
  • NMC registered with post-registration experience in outpatients or a related clinical setting, but training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Organised, flexible and confident working across multiple specialties
  • Patient-focused, with excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach
  • Committed to maintaining high clinical standards and contributing to continuous improvement
