Role Overview
We're looking for a skilled Healthcare Assistant with confident IV cannulation experience to join our specialist clinic and support the delivery of patient treatments. In this hands-on role, you'll work alongside our clinical team to assist with IV therapies and other advanced treatment procedures, helping to ensure every patient receives safe, efficient, and compassionate care from start to finish. IV support and treatment assistance will be a central part of your day-to-day responsibilities.

Role Overview

IV support and treatment assistance will be a central part of your day-to-day responsibilities.
Clinical HCA Key Responsibilities
- Perform IV cannulation competently and safely in line with clinical protocols (essential).
- Support the delivery of IV therapies and assist with related treatment procedures.
- Assist the nursing team during photobiomodulation, HBOT, and hyperthermia treatments.
- Monitor patients during treatment, ensuring comfort, safety, and wellbeing at all times.
- Recognise and escalate any changes in patient condition promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation and treatment records.
- Support infection prevention and control standards across the clinic.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and equipment to a high clinical standard.
- Work collaboratively with nurses and medical staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Clinical HCA Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a clinical or private healthcare setting.
- Competent and confident in IV cannulation (essential).
- Experience supporting IV therapies or infusion-based treatments.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) desirable.
- Strong understanding of patient care, safety, and infection control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Calm, professional, and confident approach in a clinical environment.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
