š§© Role Overview Weāre seeking a Residential Childcare Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in our brand-new service in Birmingham. This home will provide exceptional care and unwavering support to children and young people aged 8ā18 years.
Weāre looking for someone with the passion, creativity, and determination to help create a home that every child truly deserves, one filled with new experiences, positivity, and plenty of fun and laughter.

š§ Key Responsibilities
⢠Manage the service effectively in the absence of the Registered Manager
⢠Oversee shift planning and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home
⢠Meet the physical, emotional, behavioural, cultural, and educational needs of young people
⢠Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the staff team
⢠Support the Registered Manager with staff recruitment and retention
⢠Lead and motivate the team to deliver high-quality, child-centred care
⢠Ensure all risks are managed safely in line with company policies and procedures
⢠Review and update young peopleās care plans and associated documentation
⢠Assist the Registered Manager in the completion of daily operational tasks
⢠Participate in on-call duties as part of a rota
⢠Carry out regular staff supervisions, manage performance, and identify training needs
⢠Promote and safeguard the welfare of each young person
⢠Demonstrate a desire to learn and grow ā we offer ongoing training and apprenticeships to help you reach your full potential

⢠Confident in challenging and improving ways of working to achieve positive outcomes
ā Essential Requirements ⢠Must be aged 21 or over (due to the age range of young people)
⢠Minimum of 2 yearsā experience in a leadership role within childrenās residential care
⢠Proven supervisory experience
⢠Hold a Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
⢠Strong written and verbal communication skills
