An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead the setup and registration of a new 3-bed children’s residential home in  South Derbyshire.
This role offers a genuine leadership opportunity to establish and develop a new service from the ground up, working closely with senior leadership to build a high-quality home delivering excellent outcomes for children and young people.
The service is open to managers with experience in:
  • EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties)
  • Learning Disabilities (LD)
  • Dual-experience managers
The final registration pathway will align with the successful candidate’s experience and Ofsted track record.
The Opportunity This is a newly established service with strong governance and compliance structures in place, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the service from registration through to full operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Ofsted registration process for the children’s home
  • Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing staff team
  • Establish and embed a strong safeguarding culture
  • Deliver high-quality care and positive outcomes for young people
  • Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
  • Manage budgets, occupancy and operational performance
  • Work closely with senior leadership to support service development and growth
 Requirements The successful candidate will:
  • Have recent experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s residential home
    (Strong Deputy Managers ready to step up will also be considered)
  • Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
  • Be confident leading a home through registration
  • Have experience in recruiting, developing and managing staff teams
  • Understand occupancy management, referrals and service sustainability
  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence
