About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a residential home supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. This home will be a 4 bed EBD home.

As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, compliance, and staff performance are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the children's home.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, and relevant legislation.
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and child-centred environment.
- Lead, motivate, supervise, and develop a high-performing staff team.
- Manage recruitment, induction, training, and performance management processes.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and placement matching.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are fully implemented and adhered to.
- Build positive relationships with local authorities, social workers, families, and other professionals.
- Manage budgets, staffing levels, rotas, and resources effectively.
- Monitor and improve service quality through audits, quality assurance processes, and action planning.
- Complete all required reports and notifications within regulatory timescales.
- Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership support when required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous management experience within a residential children's home.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and children's residential care legislation.
- Experience leading, developing, and managing staff teams.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to complete.
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or 2 Years experience as aĀ Deputy Manager.
- Knowledge of therapeutic childcare approaches.
- Experience achieving positive Ofsted inspection outcomes/Being part of them.
- Competitive salary of Ā£65,000 ā Ā£70,000 per annum.
