We are recruiting a Ward Manager to lead the nursing team within an established low secure mental health unit in Newark. The service provides specialist assessment and recovery-based treatment for women with complex care needs, including severe and enduring mental illness, personality disorder, and mild learning disability.
The Role
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise across the ward
- Lead, supervise, and develop the nursing team
- Manage ward budgets and support on-call service alongside senior nursing staff
- Ensure high standards of care within the Clinical Governance framework
- Act as a role model, creating a positive learning and recovery-focused environment
- Hold a key role within the multidisciplinary team
- Qualified nurse with valid NMC registration (RMN preferred)
- Proven leadership experience within a mental health or low secure setting
- Strong understanding of clinical governance and quality standards
- Experience from NHS or independent sector welcomed
- Caring, compassionate, and committed to high-quality care
- Purpose-built low secure hospital
- Specialist care for women with complex mental health needs
- Combined low secure and recovery ward pathway
- Full MDT in place
