We are proud to be working alongside an excellent provider who are looking for an outstanding Registered Manager to lead an established EBD children’s home within the London Borough of Redbridge.

There is also an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to take on dual registration across two neighbouring children’s homes, with a salary of up to £72,000 per annum, depending on experience, qualifications and expertise.

About the Homes

The two homes are established EBD services operating alongside one another, currently supporting a small number of children and young people.
Both homes have been inspected by Ofsted within the last nine months, with positive outcomes:
  • One home was rated Good overall, with Outstanding leadership and management.
  • The second home was rated Good in all areas.
You will benefit from a strong infrastructure of support, including a Clinical Lead and a dedicated full-time Training & Development Manager.

The Opportunity

As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the leadership, management and development of the home, ensuring children and young people receive consistently high-quality care and support.

You will be responsible for:
  • Providing strong, visible and effective leadership to the home.
  • Ensuring the home operates in accordance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Maintaining and further developing the therapeutic ethos of the service.
  • Leading and developing the staff team to deliver exceptional standards of care.
  • Ensuring safeguarding is at the heart of everything the home does.
  • Working closely with external professionals, families and partner agencies.
  • Maintaining strong compliance and preparing effectively for Ofsted inspections.
  • Monitoring performance against key operational and quality indicators.
  • Supporting the continued development and improvement of the service.
  • Creating a positive, stable and nurturing environment for the children in your care.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and committed children's care professional who can demonstrate strong leadership and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
You will need:
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar setting within the last 5 years.
  • At least 12 months’ supervisory or management experience within a children’s home. A strong understanding of safeguarding and the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or willing to work towards
  • Experience of leading and developing a care team.
  • The ability to maintain high standards of care, compliance and practice.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • The confidence and professionalism to work effectively with Ofsted, social workers, education professionals, families and other stakeholders.
