We are working with a dedicated provider of residential care for children and young people to recruit a Registered Manager for their home based in Leeds. About the Role As Registered Manager, you will hold full accountability for the management of the home and the quality of care delivered to its residents. You will lead a dedicated team, ensure full regulatory compliance, and champion a culture where every young person feels safe, supported, and heard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strong, visible leadership and creating a positive, inclusive culture within the home
- Overseeing the implementation and review of individual care plans for each resident
- Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and all relevant legislation, including safeguarding, health & safety, and employment law
- Managing budgets and financial activity across the home
- Recruiting, supervising, developing and supporting your staff team
- Representing the home at professional and multi-agency meetings
- Driving continuous improvement in the quality of care and outcomes for young people
- Children are settled and established within the home
- A full staff team is in place, providing a stable foundation for the incoming manager
- Supported by a committed and experienced senior leadership team
- Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare
- A minimum of 2 years' management and supervisory experience in a residential setting
- At least 2 years' experience working with children within the past five years
- Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted inspection frameworks
- Experience developing placement plans, risk assessments, and needs-based strategies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- A genuine commitment to equality, diversity, and the wellbeing of young people
- Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
