Well Established Company all with Good Rated Homes

About this Home
We are working with a great company who are opening a new therapeutic children’s home for children who’ve experienced developmental trauma. We’re looking for an experienced Registered Manager (or exceptional Deputy ready for the next step) who’s passionate about creating a safe, stable and joyful home where children can truly thrive.

This is a family-run, therapeutic community of 4 homes all rated Good by Ofsted. They specialise in trauma-informed, therapeutic residential childcare, with a strong model inspired by Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP). Their homes are filled with warmth, consistency and belonging, and we’re growing carefully to keep quality at the centre.

As Registered Manager, you will:
  • Lead and inspire your residential childcare team to achieve outstanding outcomes for children.
  • Promote a therapeutic culture where behaviour is understood as communication of underlying need.
  • Oversee all aspects of the home’s management in line with Children’s Homes Regulations (England) 2015 and Quality Standards.
  • Ensure safeguarding, risk management and reflective practice remain central to everything the home does.
  • Build a joyful, structured home environment with positive routines, rituals and boundaries that support safety and belonging.
  • Develop and mentor your team through coaching, supervision, and performance development.
  • Work collaboratively with professionals, families and placing authorities to secure the best outcomes for every child.

About You
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards completion).
  • Experience of managing or deputy-managing an Ofsted-registered children’s home rated Good or Outstanding.
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding, children’s residential care regulations, and trauma-informed practice.
  • Strong people leadership, emotional resilience, and the ability to stay calm and connected under pressure.
  • Experience embedding DDP, PACE, or similar attachment- and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Track record of leading improvement plans, preparing for Ofsted inspections, and supporting staff development.
What They Offer
  • Salary: Up to £60,000 including performance bonus.
  • Annual Leave: 32 days, plus one extra day each year of service.
  • Private Medical Insurance: Comprehensive cover for you and your wellbeing.
  • Therapeutic Training: DDP Level 1 & 2, plus ongoing reflective supervision from our Therapeutic Lead.
  • Career Development: Clear pathways into Senior Leadership within a growing therapeutic organisation.
  • Support & Autonomy: You’ll be trusted to lead, with consistent support from a leadership team who care deeply about outcomes for children and staff wellbeing.
