We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Childrenās Home Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our residential childrenās home. This pivotal role ensures the wellbeing, safety, and development of young people, delivering high-quality, tailored care in a nurturing environment.
As the Registered Manager, you will:
- Take full responsibility for the homeās leadership and performance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with Childrenās Homes Regulations.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment for both young people and staff.
- Be part of the on-call support rota to provide consistent leadership.
- Lead and manage all aspects of daily operations in line with legislative, regulatory, and contractual standards.
- Ensure each young personās physical, emotional, educational, and social needs are met through individualised care planning.
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, partner agencies, and families to support rehabilitation and reintegration.
- Provide effective leadership and supervision, fostering a culture of high performance, safeguarding, and continuous improvement.
- Control budgets and manage financial performance to meet agreed parameters.
- Interpret and implement legislative changes, maintaining full compliance at all times.
- Recruit, develop, and train staff, ensuring workforce resilience and optimum service delivery.
- Promote and maintain a positive health and safety culture across the home.

- Strong understanding of child-centred care and customer focus
- Collaborative approach with internal and external partners
- QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young Peopleās Residential Management) ā or working towards it
- At least 2 yearsā experience in residential childcare
- Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or management role in a care setting
- Clear understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and quality care standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
