We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our residential children’s home. This pivotal role ensures the wellbeing, safety, and development of young people, delivering high-quality, tailored care in a nurturing environment.
As the Registered Manager, you will:
  • Take full responsibility for the home’s leadership and performance.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment for both young people and staff.
  • Be part of the on-call support rota to provide consistent leadership.
šŸ”‘ Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all aspects of daily operations in line with legislative, regulatory, and contractual standards.
  • Ensure each young person’s physical, emotional, educational, and social needs are met through individualised care planning.
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, partner agencies, and families to support rehabilitation and reintegration.
  • Provide effective leadership and supervision, fostering a culture of high performance, safeguarding, and continuous improvement.
  • Control budgets and manage financial performance to meet agreed parameters.
  • Interpret and implement legislative changes, maintaining full compliance at all times.
  • Recruit, develop, and train staff, ensuring workforce resilience and optimum service delivery.
  • Promote and maintain a positive health and safety culture across the home.

  • QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People’s Residential Management) – or working towards it
  • At least 2 years’ experience in residential childcare
  • Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or management role in a care setting
  • Clear understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and quality care standards
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence
