The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will:
- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
- Help deliver high-quality, person-centred care for young people with LD and autism
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
- Lead shifts, supervise staff, and support team development
- Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
- Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
- Build positive relationships with families and external professionals
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working within children’s residential care
- Understanding of learning disabilities and autism support
- Level 3 in Children & Young People (or working towards)
- Confident leadership skills and readiness to step into a Deputy role
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child-centred practice
- Full UK driving licence
- Passion for supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes
- Salary of £37,450 per annum bonus
