We are urgently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Children’s Home Manager to join a 2-bed residential home in Walsall supporting young people. The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will:
- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
- Lead and supervise staff, ensuring high standards of care and practice
- Work within a 2-bed children’s residential setting, supporting young people (EBD experience advantageous)
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and care standards
- Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management
- Participate in the on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support when required
- Contribute to a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for young people
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience managing or supervising a team
- Experience working within children’s residential care
- Qualification in one of the following (or higher):
- Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner
- Level 3 Residential Childcare
- Level 3 Health & Social Care
- Experience working with EBD young people (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
