We are recruiting for 2 x Senior Residential Care Practitioners to join a 2-bed children’s residential home in Walsall. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Residential Care Workers or Seniors looking to step into a more responsible role within a small, supportive setting.

The Role

As a Senior Residential Care Practitioner, you will:
  • Support the day-to-day running of a 2-bed children’s home
  • Lead shifts and provide guidance to care staff
  • Deliver high-quality care to young people, supporting emotional and behavioural needs (EBD)
  • Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
  • Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
  • Work as part of a 3-week rolling rota, including sleep-ins
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience supervising or leading within a children’s residential setting
  • Experience working with children and young people (EBD experience desirable)
  • Qualification in one of the following (or higher):
  • Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner
  • Level 3 Residential Childcare
  • Level 3 Health & Social Care
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A passionate and resilient approach to supporting young people
