We are seeking an experienced Responsible Individual (RI) to oversee a group of children’s residential homes across Surrey on a 12-month interim basis. This is a senior leadership opportunity, ideal for someone with a strong background in Ofsted-regulated services, quality assurance, and multi-site oversight.
You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, quality, and consistency across multiple homes, supporting Registered Managers and driving high standards of care.

You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, quality, and consistency across multiple homes, supporting Registered Managers and driving high standards of care.
The Role
As Responsible Individual, you will:
- Provide strategic oversight across multiple children’s residential homes
- Supervise and support 4 Registered Managers, ensuring effective leadership
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Home Standards
- Lead on quality assurance, audits, and continuous improvement
- Monitor safeguarding practices and ensure robust risk management
- Support homes in achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership and external stakeholders
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a Responsible Individual or senior leadership role within children’s residential care
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015
- Experience overseeing multiple services and Registered Managers
- A strong background in quality assurance, compliance, and safeguarding
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to travel across the Surrey region
