We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a 6-bed EBD residential service in Leatherhead, currently supporting 5 young people. The Role
As Registered Manager, you will:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of a 6-bed children’s residential home
- Ensure high-quality care for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
- Maintain full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Home Standards
- Lead, develop, and support the staff team to deliver outstanding care
- Work closely with the on-site therapist to provide therapeutic, child-centred support
- Manage care planning, safeguarding, and risk assessments
- Build strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals
- Drive the home towards Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within children’s residential care
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks
- Experience working with EBD young people
- Local authority experience (highly desirable)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Salary up to £65,000 per annum
