We are recruiting for a Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a 2-bed children’s home in Bournemouth (BH9), providing care for young people with learning disabilities and trauma-related needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader, or existing Deputy Manager looking to step into a well-supported leadership role within a specialist service.
You’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to help lead the home, maintain high standards of care, and create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

We are recruiting for a Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a 2-bed children’s home in Bournemouth (BH9), providing care for young people with learning disabilities and trauma-related needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader, or existing Deputy Manager looking to step into a well-supported leadership role within a specialist service.

🏡 The Role As Deputy Manager, you will support with the day-to-day running of the home, helping to ensure:
- Safe, therapeutic, and child-centred care
- Consistent routines, structure, and boundaries
- High standards of safeguarding and risk management
- Positive outcomes for young people with complex needs
- A stable and well-supported staff team
- Ongoing compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Supporting the Registered Manager with the daily operations of the home
- Leading shifts and providing guidance to the staff team
- Promoting a trauma-informed and therapeutic approach to care
- Supporting with care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
- Helping monitor incidents, safeguarding concerns, and medication processes
- Assisting with staff supervision, rota planning, and team development
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance readiness
- Building positive working relationships with young people, families, and professionals
- Previous experience within a children’s residential care setting
- Experience supporting young people with learning disabilities and/or trauma-related needs
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child-centred practice
- Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Level 3 in Residential Childcare essential
- Level 5 in Leadership and Management desirable, or willingness to work towards
- Confident leadership skills and the ability to support and motivate a team
