We are recruiting for an experienced Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a well-presented 2-bed childrenās home in Bournemouth (BH9), supporting young people with Learning Disabilities within a trauma-informed framework.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join at an early stage, with a structured growth plan to expand into a Dual Registered Manager role overseeing an additional new 3-bed home (5 beds total), with a corresponding salary uplift.
š” The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the 2-bed service, ensuring high-quality care delivery and regulatory compliance.
š Key Responsibilities
Full leadership and operational management of the home
Ensure compliance with Childrenās Homes Regulations & Quality Standards 2015
Lead on safeguarding, care planning and quality assurance
Develop and embed trauma-informed and therapeutic practice
Oversee recruitment, supervision and workforce development
Maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities and commissioners
Produce Reg 44 / Reg 45 documentation and internal monitoring
š Progression Plan
There is a clear pathway to progress into a Dual Registered Manager position overseeing a second 3-bed home (new service), bringing total oversight to 5 beds.
This will include:
Strategic oversight across both homes
Support with mobilisation and setup of the second service
Salary increase aligned with expanded responsibility
ā Requirements
Previous experience as a Registered Manager within childrenās residential
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks
Experience supporting Learning Disabilities (LD)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
Full UK Driving Licence
