Registered Manager (Learning Disability | 2-Bed Children’s Home | Leicester LE2)
Role Overview
An experienced and confident Registered Manager sought to lead a 2-bed Ofsted-regulated children’s home specialising in supporting young people with learning disabilities. The role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, and the ability to create a safe, aspirational environment where children thrive and staff are well supported.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the full operational management of the home, including staff supervision, placement planning, safeguarding, reporting, and quality assurance.
Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, Children Act 1989, Health & Safety legislation, Data Protection requirements, and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
Maintain a skilled, trained and confident staff team capable of meeting the individual needs of each young person.
Lead the home with ambition and positivity, inspiring both children and staff.
Produce monitoring reports, audits, and statistical data in line with organisational and regulatory expectations.
Ensure all children receive personalised care planning tailored to their specific needs.
Build and sustain effective relationships with multi-agency partners, families, and the wider team around the child, ensuring all transitions and offboarding processes are recorded and completed correctly.
Oversee staff development and ensure consistent compliance with training programmes.
Requirements
Level 5 Leadership & Management (minimum).
Previous Ofsted registration experience.
Strong background working with children with learning disabilities in looked-after settings.
Confident leader and effective team player.
Competent with digital care systems and software-based record keeping.
Package
£50,000 – £55,000
28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
