About the Opportunity We’re thrilled to be recruiting on behalf of an experienced and well-established care provider who are opening a brand-new 2-bed EBD children’s home in the Birmingham area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to take the lead from the very beginning helping to shape, build, and grow the home, and truly put their own stamp on it.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the registration process with Ofsted and ensure the home meets all regulatory standards.
- Create and maintain a nurturing, safe, and therapeutic environment for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
- Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing care team.
- Oversee care planning, safeguarding, and compliance with company policies and the Children’s Homes Regulations.
- Work closely with local authorities, social workers, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people.
- Manage budgets, resources, and ensure effective day-to-day operations of the home.
- Drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of learning and reflection.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it) – essential.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within a residential children’s home.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and EBD support.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- A passion for making a lasting difference in the lives of young people.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- £50,000 per annum + performance bonuses.
